Doggy Armour started just over 2 years ago, my wife Rachel was just so scared of taking our dog Tilly for a walk due to the number of dogs in the area and hearing about dog on dog attacks. We had also heard about an incident where a celebrity had his dog killed whilst out walking and of course it made us realise that nowhere is safe. After spending many months, weeks and hours researching and using my contacts around the world, I managed to come up with a design for the perfect armour – light, flexible and super strong. In fact so strong that I created a bed of nails, put the jacket on top and drove my wife’s car over it, No punctures!

Growing up as a child I made net curtains during my summer holidays and although this never become my trade it certainly came in handy now. After many trials I eventually perfected the Doggy Armour jacket, custom made for every dog and one of the toughest walking armours in the world.

As for me and Rachel we both have full time jobs and Doggy Armour is created during our spare time to ensure costs are kept low. We don’t take any money from the business other than for materials and re-invest any money we do earn into donating armour around the world for anti-poaching dogs, assistance dogs and special service dogs. We love what we do and whilst it takes up so much of our time and own money there is nothing better than seeing someone being able to enjoy their walks again.

What a heartwarming story this is, brought about by a need to protect their own dog, and now helping dogs around the World with dangerous jobs. A young friend of mine has Doggy Armour for her assistance dog, and it has saved her dog from injury on many occasions. Of course it shouldn’t be necessary, but where we have irresponsible dog owners, we will have dog on dog attacks.

What a sad reflection on our times that protection is needed. Thankfully Bradley and Rachel were able to respond to the need. Good work Doggy Armour!

Fantastic! I feel safe walking my dog now, after witnessing a most horrific attack a few years ago, which I shall, unfortunately, never forget. The coat can also be sprayed with water or put in the freezer for a short while to keep dogs cool in summer. I fully recommend this coat, and also the fantastic service and aftercare that comes with it.

Good to hear that you feel safer and a useful tip about spraying the coat with water in the summer. As you say, once you have witnessed the horror of an attack, you can never forget it.
